IMPA's economic development program provides member economic development and utility representatives with a plethora of opportunities to expand their knowledge, discuss challenges, plan strategies and secure resources to help attract and retain businesses and expand local economies.

The goals of IMPA's comprehensive economic development program are to:

• Assess member communities' economic inventories, strengths and weaknesses through in-depth research and analysis
• Develop a strategic plan to guide studied and targeted efforts for years to come
• Work together with members to provide training, opportunities and support of current economic development efforts
